When coming up with the Flower Self Care Box for Mother’s Day I was thinking about my incredible stepmom. She is a bit of a minimalist and enjoys taking care of herself. I wanted to give her something that she would use and wouldn’t feel guilty throwing away once she was done. Thinking about that I decided to give her bath bombs, a face serum, and chapstick inside the decorated box.

For this project, I used a 6”x6”x6” box, 2 shades of fake yellow roses (45 total), fake yellow Agapanthus (10 total), hot glue, and self-care items. I did write an article on how to make exquisite bath bombs. You can find that article by clicking here.

The very first step in making the flower box is plugging in the hot glue gun. Next, pull the flowers off the stems. Once the flowers are off the stems, trim the attachment piece using scissors, and then hot glue them to the box. The roses make a good base because they have a larger diameter. Please be aware if you do not glue them after trimming it is likely the flower will fall apart and need to be put back together before it can be glued. When gluing, I recommend alternating colors starting at the bottom and working up. Once all the Roses are glued on is when you add the Agapanthus. I added mine sparingly as decoration more so than anything else. This was a fun project and it made a beautiful place to put the self-care items into.
