Bath Bombs

Please note any purchase made on the listed links does provide me a commission. I do appreciate any support, thank you.

Starting in March of 2021 I got heavily interested in essential oils to the point I started experimenting with different ways to use them. So far one of my absolute favorite things to make with essential oils is bath bombs! Who does not love a good bath bomb? To make them even better the bath bomb recipe I use leaves your skin feeling highly moisturized as though you just put on lotion.

I do have to say that I only use doTerra essential oils because they provide third-party test results proving they are pure and safe to use. If you do decide to purchase the doTerra essential oils the link can be found on my social media accounts. Another part of doTerra that I love, is they provide a whole section on their website with recipes and ways to use the essential oils. This section of their website can be found here. This is where I initially found the bath bomb recipe I use. Though I love the recipe they provided, here are a few things that I have learned over time that was not in the initial post:

  1. Citric Acid can be hard to find so I get mine on Amazon.
  2. When scraping the excess dough off the molds I would recommend using a spoon. If the Citric Acid you are using is larger granules like I used they can cut your finger if you are not careful.
  3. I personally don’t add any coloring or additional ingredients to my bath bombs, but you can add food coloring, sprinkles, flowers, etc. when making the dough.
  4. This bath bomb is great for moisturizing the skin, but it can leave the hair greasy so you may need to shower afterward if you soak your hair.
  5. My favorite oils for making the bath bombs are Balance, Citrus Bliss, Wild Orange, Lavender, Serenity, and Breathe.
    a. Balance – when life is seeming chaotic and I’m seeking some semblance of balance and peace.
    b. Citrus Bliss and Wild Orange – when I am in need of a mood booster or just looking for a little bit of happiness.
    c. Lavender and Serenity – for when I want to relax, or to help my kids calm down.
    d. Breathe – when me or my children are a little stuffy or feel a cold coming on as it can help encourage clear breathing.
