One of my favorite parts of Easter is all of the colors! Finding treats that can be just as colorful as everything else makes it even more fun. This Easter I played with cooking and made these beautiful Hersey Kiss Peanut Butter Cookies. This is a classic recipe that is used by many people, but it was fun to make them colorful.

I got the recipe from the Betty Crocker website The main change I made was instead of rolling the dough balls in sugar I rolled them in colorful sprinkles. I used Wilton sprinkles. As much fun as the colors were, I felt that the sprinkles were a bit bitter to the taste and took away from the flavors of the cookies. When I make these cookies again next year instead of using sprinkles, I will use dyed sugar. To make dyed sugar I found a helpful article on the All Recipes website.

Making these cookies was a fun activity that the kids loved to do. They also took joy in picking their favorite colors when eating the cookies. This was another recipe that I will have to consider on an annual basis.
