As a kid, I practiced yoga with my mom in our living room. She taught me how to do the poses correctly, and how to ensure that I was pushing myself the right amount.
When I got older I started practicing yoga in my own home and occasionally in group classes. When post-partum depression hit and my muscles didn’t immediately recover from childbirth I stopped practicing.
Through working on my mental health and getting more in line with who I am I’ve started doing yoga again. It may be used as a workout, but the lifestyle associated with it is also incredible.
My body is still in recovery but I am pushing hard to get stronger to become a yoga instructor. Yoga in my opinion can benefit everyone’s life, and I plan on sharing my journey in case someone finds themselves on a similar path.
